Responding to an event invitation

How to RSVP, whether you have an account or not.

Whether you have a PopIn account or not, RSVPing is a one-tap step.

If you have an account

Where you see the inviteWhat to do
The bell icon in the navTap the notification → the event page opens with the RSVP card
The event page directlyThe RSVP card is at the top of the page
Email or SMS linkTap the link, it opens the event page

Tap Going, Maybe, or Can't make it. That's it.

If you don't have an account

Just tap the link from your email or text. The event page opens, pick a response, enter your name, done. No sign-up. See RSVPing without a PopIn account for the full walkthrough.

What the three options mean in practice

RSVPWhat hosts read it as
Going"I'm planning to come, count me in the headcount." Hosts plan capacity off this number.
Maybe"Probably not but I want to keep the door open." Most hosts read Maybe as the polite no.
Can't make itClean decline. Reminders stop, host doesn't chase.
Tip

If you want to actually attend, RSVP Going - hosts plan around real numbers, not wishful headcount. Maybe is a polite no.

Plus-ones

If the host allows them, you'll see a +1 option near the RSVP buttons. Add up to the limit the host set. Plus-ones don't need their own accounts.

If you don't recognise the event

If you got the invite by mistake, tap Can't make it to clear the pending status and stop reminder emails. You don't need to explain.
