Trouble signing in or signing up

Stuck at login or never got your verification email? Try these.

Most sign-in problems come down to one of three things. Run through these before you contact support, you'll usually be back in within a minute.

Didn't get the verification email or SMS

1

Check spam and promotions folders

Emails come from noreply@popin.events. Mail clients sometimes flag transactional senders as promotional on first sight.

2

Confirm the address you typed

Even a stray space matters. Restart sign-up with a corrected address if needed - nothing's locked to your first attempt until you verify.

3

Tap Resend code

There's a 60-second cooldown between sends. If you're using SMS, double-check the country code on your number.

Password not working

1

Tap Forgot password on the login screen

Enter your email - you'll get a reset link within a minute.

2

Pick a new password

At least 8 characters; no other rules. Open the link from the reset email on the same device you'll sign in from.

"Account not found"

You may have signed up with a different email. Try the other one, or sign up fresh - you can merge accounts later from Settings → Account.

Locked out from too many attempts

After 10 failed sign-in attempts in 15 minutes, PopIn temporarily locks the account to deter brute-force attacks. The lock auto-expires after 15 minutes. Use that time to reset your password if you're not sure what it is.

If 2FA is in the way

Important

If you've enabled two-factor authentication and lost access to your authenticator app (new phone, etc.), use one of your backup codes on the sign-in challenge page. Each code works once.

If you're out of backup codes and don't have your authenticator, contact support. We can verify your identity another way and reset 2FA, but the process takes 24-48 hours on purpose.

Google sign-in issues

If the Google button isn't working, the most common cause is your Google account's session having expired. Open Google in another tab, confirm you're signed in there, then come back and try again. If you signed up with Google and want to add a password too, sign in via Google first then go to Settings → Security → Add a password.

Still stuck? Contact support with the email you used to sign up.
