Deleting your account is immediate and can't be undone from the app. The moment you confirm, you're signed out everywhere and your personal data is anonymised. Make sure before you confirm.
How to delete
Open Danger zone
Go to Settings → Danger zone.
Tap Delete account
You'll see a warning listing what gets removed.
Type your username to confirm
Then confirm. That's it, the deletion runs straight away.
What happens
| Removed or anonymised now | Why |
|---|---|
| Your profile (name, avatar, bio) becomes "Deleted user" | Your identity is stripped immediately |
| Your sign-in (sessions, password, connected accounts) is wiped | Nobody, including you, can sign back in |
| Your upcoming events are cancelled and guests notified | So nobody turns up to an event with no host |
| Your RSVPs are removed from hosts' guest lists | No lingering "Deleted user" in headcounts |
| Friends, follows, push subscriptions, preferences | Personal data, removed |
Past content that other people share (messages you sent in group chats, comments, past events) stays readable but shows you as "Deleted user", so conversations don't fall apart for everyone else. After a 30-day retention period, a cleanup job erases the leftover tombstone for good.
You don't have to delete. Sign out and come back whenever, your account waits for you, untouched.
