Every Sunday morning (in your timezone), PopIn sends a digest email with what happened over the past week. It's designed to be skimmable - you should be able to read the whole thing in 30 seconds.
What's in it
| Section | What you'll see |
|---|---|
| Upcoming | Events you've RSVP'd to in the next 7 days |
| You missed | Friends who hosted events while you were away |
| Top posts | Top 3 posts from your friends, ranked by reactions |
| Hosting | RSVPs on events you're hosting |
| Messages | Unread count and your most recent sender |

Scroll to the Weekly digest card.
Pick a cadence or turn it off
Daily, weekly (Sundays - the default), or monthly (first Sunday of the month). Daily is too noisy for most people; weekly is the sweet spot for an active social calendar.
You can also unsubscribe directly from the footer of any digest email. The link works without needing to sign in, and it only affects digests - transactional emails (password resets, RSVPs, security alerts) keep coming.
How it's curated
The digest is deterministic, not algorithmic - we don't try to surprise you with new content. Picks come from your friend graph and upcoming events: events you're going to in the next 7 days (always shown), your friends' most-reacted posts (top 3), and unread messages summarised by sender count.
Privacy
Digests only include content from friends and people you follow, never strangers. Private message contents are never included - only counts. Content from blocked accounts is excluded entirely.
Empty weeks
If your friends haven't posted, you don't have events coming up, and you've read all your messages, the digest skips that week rather than sending an empty email. You'll just not hear from us for weeks where there's nothing meaningful to say.
Didn't get a digest you expected?
Check your spam folder. PopIn doesn't retry digest emails - one is sent per cadence, and if it bounces or filters, we don't resend.
