Now and then PopIn posts an announcement, a new feature, a heads-up, the occasional bit of news. Here's where those land and how to keep up (or quiet them down).
In your feed
Announcements appear as cards in your feed, clearly marked as coming from PopIn. When we enable it on a particular announcement, you can react and comment just like a normal post. Done with one? Dismiss it and it won't keep reappearing.
The What's new archive
Every announcement, current or past, lives at What's new (in your account menu, or at /whats-new). Even if you dismissed a card or muted updates, you can always catch up here. Notifications about an announcement link straight to its spot in the archive.
Turning the feed cards down
If you'd rather not see announcement cards in your feed, switch them off in Settings → Feed. The What's new archive still has everything, so you won't miss anything important, you just read it on your terms.
Major announcements may also send a notification through your usual channels. Control those in Settings → Notifications, the same way as any other notification type. See Notification preferences.
